Political Change mapping during the Bosnia-Herzegovina conflict 1991 - 1996

As a research assistant at the University of Edinburgh, Theresa designed a series of 20 maps which represented the boundary changes and ethnic distribution during the Bosnia-Herzegovina conflict of 1991-1996. The maps showed the distribution of Serbs, Bosniaks and Croats throughout 108 provinces in 1991 and post-conflict 1996. The maps also showed the number of deaths and disappearances from 1991-95, levels of war damage to residential buildings, and number of property restitution claims by province. The series of colour and black and white photos were created for presentation slides, as well as 3 maps that were published in the journal Nationalism and Ethnic Politics in 2013.
